The Special Guests

Stina Nilimaa Wickström is Vice President of Product Design for the Volvo Group. She  is responsible for the exterior, interior and digital design of all projects and services, which have won numerous awards to date. In the course of her twenty-year career, Stina has held leading roles in the field of design and marketing - for example at Electrolux, Husqvarna and Wall Vision - and has been an active member of various boards and management committees, including since 2012 as CEO of the Swedish National Association of Design. Stina is an Umeå Insitute of Design alumnus, having obtained a masters degree in industrial design here in 1995.

Tim Brown is the CEO of IDEO and a leading voice on the value of design thinking in business and society. His ideas and experience are widely sought in industry, academia, and the nonprofit community; and he's a regular participant in the World Economic Forum at Davos. Tim has a special interest in the convergence of technology and the arts, as well as the ways in which design can be used to promote the well being of people living in emerging economies. In fact, the first seeds for IDEO.org were planted by Tim after a life-changing trip to India. And he has nurtured their growth ever since. Tim joined IDEO in 1987 after earning his MA in design from the Royal College of Art in London. (from IDEO.org)
