Background:

I was born in Gammelstad outside Luleå, but I grew up in Skellefteå. Before I came to UID I worked as a mechanical engineer.  In 1994 I moved to Umeå to study Industrial Design and Interaction Design at UID. Graduated in 1999. The same year I started to work at the institute with applied research projects. I worked with projects with very different focus but mainly with the theme "Driver Interaction" within the research programme Safe and Efficient Transports (SET). The programme was sponsored and carried out in close collaboration with the Volvo Group and the objective was to identify and conceptualise solutions based on vehicle operators' needs, problems and wishes in relation to commercial transports.

Since 2011 I have also worked as a design consultant parallel to the work at UID.
