The mountain rescuer’s means of transport consists of: snowmobile, quad bike and helicopter when weather permits. Currently, new increasing figures are drawing attention to cases involving minor injuries. This has resulted in transport resources are not always sufficient for mountain rescue efforts, which places high demands on a mountain rescuer to arrive at the accident site in time. My project presents a process where an idea is developed into a future transport solution in the form of air transport means that enables faster and more efficient mountain rescue in severe weather conditions.
The result was a helicopter that projects a landscape view that makes it possible to see through difficult weather conditions and a long-distance thermal camera that makes it faster and easier to find people who need mountain rescue. With this helicopter, people are in focus, to create a feeling of trust and security where help is always available.
